Inspiration Avenue Weekly Challenge
"Hidden"
What a crazy week. And just happens I chose this week to try something relatively new for me AND something I have to photograph! I have newfound empathy for everyone who must take photos for their Etsy shop; how do you do it???
Since my work is digital, I have happily skipped over
all the posts, tutorials, etc. on
HOW TO TAKE GOOD PHOTOS.
Not a good thing.

So on to the theme, "Hidden"!
There is a quote I like by George Bernard Shaw that goes:
"When a thing is funny, search it for a hidden truth".
I like the way truth can be hidden in humor.

I made a collage using clowns, which I think can be funny and sad at the same time.  I often wonder what their lives are like when they are not performing. It's something they keep hidden while they are being amusing.

Visit Inspiration Avenue Sunday afternoon to check out all the
creative entries in the "Hidden" challenge!

  6. Thanks so much everyone for your comments! Love you all!

~Lisa: "digital" just means all my work is done on the computer, in Photoshop in my case :) So hence, no photos (yay)

~ Tammy: Thank you for posting my link. My bad for forgetting to comment and leave a link on IA!

~Luthien: Your photos are perfect! you obviously have it all figured out!!

~Angie: Thank you! I generally don't even think about clowns (thank goodness), but they just popped into my head when I was thinking about the quote.

~Stephanie: I may not list this one because of technical problems. I wish I had done it on canvas, but I didn't. So it's not as sturdy as I would like, but I am planning on listing future ones. I really enjoy painting and mixed media!

  7. This is wonderful Maggie and quite touching too! I have to say I can relate to the whole photo thing - I never imagined having to learn to be a photographer just to sell jewelry but it's true.

  8. Your entry this week is fabulous. I love your idea about clowns and what they might be hiding. It's a wonderful collage.
You are sooo lucky you don't have to take pictures for your etsy items. It's a pain....But I have to say I've learned a lot by having to do it.
I'm wishing you and yours are a wonderful and Merry Christmas.
    Hugs,
    Charlie
