Decisions, Decisions
The theme this week at Inspiration Avenue is
Decide
Does it sometimes seem like there are
just too many things to think about?
I have to admit, sometimes I have
a harder time with the simple things,
like whether to have a
Big Mac or a Quarter Pounder.
The more important decisions
somehow are actually easier.
I don't mind spending the brain power
on those. The inconsequential decisions
I expect to just solve themselves
with no help from me.
And of course, they don't do that
so they give me a harder time. Ack.

Decide theme!
Have a fantastic weekend!
What a beautiful piece. I feel like it shows a spirit of innocence that we come to some decisions; the hopeful outcomes we always look for...
ReplyDeleteThis theme has bunny written all over it...in the opposite way. I have no problem making decisions...it's my family that drives me crazy with them. I walk around my house every day and yell out..."It's a freakin' movie...not brain surgery"..as they ponder and ponder away...lol
ReplyDelete...but I digress....love the muted tones of your piece and It just goes to show that, you can strike a nerve by looking a peoples art.
Have a great weekend my friend...or not, or yeah..go ahead..no, wait a minute...well, never mind.

This is fabulous! I love the art and I CAN so relate to what you have written. I am the same way. I make decisions all day long at work on all kinds of projects large or small. Then I am coming home from work and I HATE trying to decide what to make for dinner! hahaha.. I think you hit the nail on the head with the art too, I love her dress and the layers of colors and patterns. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous, Maggie! I can't wrap my head around this week's theme...and now, there is your perfect piece to cloud my thoughts. ACK!
ReplyDeleteI hate to see another artist's work when I am trying to hear mine.
I have to say: this is a brilliant, creative piece! And wouldn't it make a fun greeting card? I think so.
PS: One decision I CAN make...Bocca Burger for me!
Fabulous job, girlfriend, xox
When I saw your darling little girl, I knew exactly how she felt. I was equally as puzzled and confused when I first saw this challenge theme. You made it look so easy with your adorable little girl asking the "hard" questions that are really minutia in the real scheme of things. Great interpretation in both words and art of this theme.
ReplyDeleteI love these color combinations. and the words are so cute... I never have to decide between chocolate or vanilla, Chocolate Baby!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful, dreamy and gentle painting (and I love that little bird on her dress, lovely touch!) I am rubbish at making decisions, but I agree often small choices are harder than big ones!
ReplyDeleteI like the saying "make small decisions with your head and big decisions with your heart".
Ah, it's comforting to know I'm not the only one who's decision-challenged!
ReplyDeleteBunny, you should give us some tips on how to let go of the indecision factor!
I love it! This is so true. And I agree with Lisa it would make a great greeting card. You are so clever.

I have no idea why...but decision making comes pretty easy for me. Your piece is great and I too agree with my fellow Lisa and Charlie on it making a good card.
ReplyDeleteI love what you created for this challenge Maggie, it's SO beautiful!! I really like what you shared too. I don't have the same problem, but I can sure relate to complicated decisions. ;D

Great job for the theme. Interesting how the simple decisions can tie you in knots sometimes! I agree the big decisions are easier at times.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this one- the expression on her face is perfect, and that background is wonderful! Perfect for the theme, and btw, I have the same troubles with decisions, sometimes I spend so much time trying to "decide" what to do, that in the end, there is no time to do it!

This is so pretty Maggie and utterly delightful. What a talented lady you are. This would make beautiful stationery!
ReplyDeletetotally agree - today I spent longer choosing cherry or chocolate cupcake than I did last week on the colour to paint my living room.
