Even though half of our vacation looked like
v v v v
it cleared up gradually and by the end of the week
we had some sun! Ugh. How predictable that we
would visit California during one of the biggest
storms in memory.
We've been forgiven by their Highnesses at home,
although there was some initial pouting
and we had to promise not to do anything so
thoughtless and self-centered again.

I hope all of you are having the merriest Christmas,
or Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa, or
Winter Solstice/Yule celebrations.

Yay! The days are getting longer!
At least for us in the Northern Hemisphere...

I'll be back later when things are more organized
around here...

  1. What wretched luck to visit California during stormy weather! Glad you stayed safe.

  2. Oh gosh, I wondered how you faired in the weather out there...I've never heard of such rain..and it went on forever. I'm glad you made it back safe and sound and did have at least one sunny day there...Wishing you a Happy New Year!!!!

  3. Oh dear, not such a good California vacation :( In Florida, after the storms is some of the best times to go looking for shells. Of course it's always better to wait until the storm passes....glad that all is well at home and you are forgiven. Purrhaps, "someone" prayed to the powers that be for the bad vacation weather....hmmmmm, now who would have done that ;)

Welcome back and wishing you a happy new year!

    Romeo and "her"

  4. Glad to hear that you had a nice if rainy vacation. Our cats usually punish us before forgiving us for leaving. One year, Lily went on a hunger strike that cost $3000 to repair....
Happy New Year and big hugs to you!
P.S. is it time for Spring yet?

  5. Cats sure know how to sulk eh? My male cat has it down to a fine art - he is so moody!! Looks like you had my usual holiday weather!!

  6. I don't travel very often. Don't want the furbabies too mad at me. You have a Happy New Year!

  7. we've had similiar vacations and it's always the best to make it home to my guys who are waiting and very forgiving! happy new year with warm wishes for many blessings!

  8. Oh Maggie, I am sorry that you had that stormy weather. That just means you all have to make another trip out there one day. =)

I always love to hear what you have to say! Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment!
