Paint Party Friday and 29 Faces
Day 17

I've worked on this painting a bit more.
I added some collage elements, more paint
(brayered on...learned that from
Tam at Willowing, teehee. Brayering's kind of fun but scary too).
I put in some lines in Payne's Gray... (love that color)
and some Japanese anemones.
So that's about it. I don't know if it's finished.
Seems it is still missing something...
If it strikes me what's missing, I'll add something else :-)

It looked like this before:

I've missed some days in the 29, but will add this as Day 17.
If I get extra faces completed before the 29th (haha), I'll
put them in for the missing days!

I'm also posting this for Paint Party Friday.

Happy PPF . . . Happy Weekend!

  1. I LOVE that you added cats in and the line work looks great too- the whole piece is beautiful!
Brayering IS scary! I once interviewed for a job where we had to replicate paintings with brayers- they were abstract but they all had to be identical and needless to say, I didn't get the job. My cookie cutter skills just weren't there! I LOVE the way you used the brayer here though!

  2. I love the flower additions. Now I have to find out more about brayering!!!

  3. So amazing to see the changes. She was beautiful in the first painting but she came to life in the second one.

  4. Gosh this is really kind of spooky - I am working on such a similar picture. Girl side view like yours and she's surrounded by animals and plants!!

Love yours (it's much better than mine... I abandonded it to come up here and play with my computer and visit my buddies!)

  5. This is gorgeous work, beautiful & serene - love all the additions & yep I fall back on the faces & get in a flurry to catch up too, lot's of fun though :) Hey you have TWO faces here!

  6. Beautiful work, loving all the details. Happy PPF and enjoy the weekend, Annette x

  7. She's beautifully wistful! Love how you did the background too! I'll have to dig out my brayer and find out if I'm brave enough!!! Patsy from
